At Anchor Orthotics & Prosthetics we give special attention to our four legged friends. Working closely with you and your veterinarian we create custom braces to solve short and long-term orthopedic problems.
Terry McDonald, our animal specialist, uses his natural creativity to help animals in need of bracing for neurological and physical abnormalities. Terry has designed and fabricated custom braces for a variety of animals including; horses, llamas, alpacas, dogs, cats, and sheep.
Pioneering Animal Orthotics
Over 20 years ago, Terry, a veterinary student named Julie, and a pony named Maddie helped to pioneer the notion of orthotics for animals at UC Davis. You can read about the story, from the point of view of the former student, now distinguished veterinarian

Since then, Terry has developed and fostered a passion for working with all kinds of animals in order to improve their quality of life through restored mobility. He has developed custom braces for the U.C.D. Veterinary School of Medicine and continued his love for healing animals and people alike.
